So let’s go ahead and create your first Semrush Project:
Go to Semrush Projects and add a new project.
Enter the name of your Semrush Project in the appropriate field(s) and start.
Project Dashboard
Once Semrush is finished creating your project, you’ll be taken to the Semrush Projects dashboard.
The Semrush Projects Dashboard will allow you to use all modules within it.
It will contain tools such as:
- Position Tracking: Get daily updates on positions in Google’s top 100 organic and paid search results.
- Site Audit: Detect issues related to crawlability, content, links and coding.
- On-Page SEO Checker: Collect ideas on strategy, content, backlinks and more.
- Backlink Audit: Detoxify your backlink portfolio and strengthen your website rankings.
- Organic Traffic Insights: Uncover “not provided” keywords combining GA, GSC, and Semrush data.
- Brand Monitoring: Track your brand’s performance across the web and uncover backlink prospects.

You can also track visibility, estimated traffic, average position and more.
It will also show chart trends, ranking distribution and compare your positions over time.
It will also show top, positive impact and negative impact keywords.

You can import keywords automatically from the Semrush keywords database too.
