Keyword Research
AlsoAsked: what it does, what it costs
The People Also Ask tree, which shows how one question leads to the next.
AlsoAsked at a glance
Every row is a verified field or an honest absence. A row is dropped rather than filled with an em dash, so the length of this table says how complete the record is.

What AlsoAsked is
AlsoAsked scrapes Google's People Also Ask boxes and renders them as a tree rather than a list. That distinction is the entire product: PAA is recursive, so expanding one question reveals the questions Google associates with it, and the shape of that branching is a map of how the engine understands a topic.
For content structure that is more useful than a flat question dump. The first level tells you what a page must answer; the second and third tell you what belongs in the same page as subheadings versus what deserves its own. Very little else shows you that relationship directly.
Commercially it is priced sensibly for the job. Credits meter searches, unlimited users come on every plan including the $12 entry tier, and all regions and languages are included rather than upsold. Deep search and bulk search are also on the entry plan, and pay-as-you-go credits exist for a month where you need more than usual.
What you can use it for
- See how Google branches questions around a topic, as a hierarchy
- Decide which questions belong on one page as subheadings and which need their own
- Research question structure for a specific region and language
- Run bulk searches across a list of topics rather than one at a time
The features that matter for SEO
Each one says what it does and the SEO job it serves. A vendor feature list without that second half tells you nothing you could not read on their own site.
People Also Ask hierarchy
Renders PAA results as an expandable tree showing which questions branch from which.
The reason to use it. Google is telling you which questions it considers related, and the depth of a branch is a direct signal about whether something is a subheading or a separate page.
Deep search
Expands the tree further, following branches to additional levels.
The second and third levels are where the genuinely long-tail phrasings live, and they are on the entry plan rather than gated.
Bulk searches
Runs many topics in one job rather than one at a time.
Makes it usable for a content plan across a whole category, not just a single article brief.
Unlimited users on every plan
Places no seat cap on any tier, including the $12 one.
A whole editorial team can use it without a seat conversation, which is unusual at this price.
All regions and languages included
Lets you run any search in any supported country and language on any plan.
Question phrasing is regional, and most tools meter this. Here it is not a tier feature.
Pay-as-you-go credits
Sells extra credits without a plan upgrade.
The right shape for a tool used in bursts — one heavy research month does not commit you to a bigger subscription.

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- The PAA hierarchy is genuinely different information, not a reformatted keyword list
- Unlimited users on every plan, including the $12 entry tier
- All regions and languages on every plan
- Deep search and bulk search available from the entry plan
- Pay-as-you-go credits for irregular use
Limitations
- Credit-metered, and 100 a month on Basic goes quickly with deep searches
- Search history is 24 hours on Basic, so re-running is a credit cost
- No search volume or difficulty data — this is structure, not sizing
- Does one job; it is not a keyword platform and does not pretend to be
- Higher tiers exist above Lite whose prices were not captured in this check
Who it is for, and who should skip it
Worth it if
- Structuring a page or a cluster around how questions actually relate

- Regional or multilingual question research
Skip it if
- You need volume and difficulty attached — it reports neither
- You run high-volume research and would burn credits
- You want one tool covering the whole keyword workflow

Questions
What does AlsoAsked show that a keyword tool does not?
The relationship between questions. People Also Ask is recursive — expanding one question reveals the ones Google associates with it — so the tree tells you which questions belong together on a page and which deserve their own. A flat keyword list cannot express that.
How much does AlsoAsked cost?
There is a small free allowance without registering. Basic is $12 a month, or $144 a year, with 100 credits a month; Lite is $23 a month, or $276 a year, with 300 credits. Unlimited users are included on every plan. Verified on 19 August 2026.
Does AlsoAsked show search volume?
No. It reports question structure, not demand. Pair it with a tool that has a volume database, or with Search Console if the question is about a site you already own.
