Conductor: what it does, what it costs
Enterprise AEO and SEO on usage-based pricing — with the allowances published, not the prices.
What Conductor is
Conductor sells itself as an AEO plus SEO suite — answer-engine optimisation alongside conventional search — across Essentials, Growth and Enterprise. Pricing is quote-only and described as usage-based, so no figures appear anywhere on the pricing page.
What it does publish is unusually useful for a vendor at this tier: the actual allowances. Essentials covers 3 websites, 500 keywords, 1,000 pages analysed and up to 100,000 pages monitored around the clock. Growth takes that to 5 websites, 5,000 keywords, 25,000 pages analysed and up to 500,000 monitored. That lets you work out which tier fits your footprint before a sales call, even without knowing the price.
One line in that table is worth pausing on. AI Search Credits are 2,500 a year on Essentials and 2,500 a year on Growth — the only allowance that does not increase when you move up. If AI search coverage is why you are buying, that ceiling is the number to ask about, because the tier upgrade will not lift it.
What you can use it for
- Run SEO and answer-engine optimisation from one platform
- Monitor hundreds of thousands of pages continuously
- Track competitors and keywords across several websites
- Draft content with a writing assistant inside the platform
The features that matter for SEO
Each one says what it does and the SEO job it serves. A vendor feature list without that second half tells you nothing you could not read on their own site.
Published per-plan allowances
Tabulates websites, keywords, pages, competitors, drafts and AI credits for each tier.
Rare and genuinely helpful at this tier. You can size yourself to a plan before talking to sales, which is most of what a published price would have told you.
The prices themselves are not published, so you can compare tiers but not vendors.
Continuous page monitoring
Monitors up to 100,000 pages on Essentials and 500,000 on Growth, 24/7.
The allowance that distinguishes this from mid-market tooling. Monitoring at that scale catches template-level breakage as it happens rather than at the next audit.
AEO alongside SEO
Covers answer-engine optimisation in the same platform as conventional search.
The current enterprise pitch across this whole tier — one workflow for Google and AI surfaces rather than two tools and a reconciliation problem.
AI search credits
Meters AI search usage at 2,500 credits a year.
The one allowance that does not scale with the tier. If AI visibility is the reason you are buying, ask what a credit covers and what more of them cost.
Identical on Essentials and Growth, so upgrading does not increase it.
Writing assistant
Drafts content, metered at 60 drafts a year on Essentials and 180 on Growth.
Modest allowances — 60 drafts a year is roughly one a week. Treat it as assistance, not a content pipeline.
Custom element extraction and alerting
Extracts custom page elements and alerts on changes, on Enterprise only.
What large technical teams actually want from a monitoring platform — watching your own markup, not just the vendor's standard checks.
API and developer access
Provides API access and documented developer experience on all tiers.
Available at every tier rather than as an upsell, which is not always the case at this level.
Pricing and limits
Starting price: Not publicly disclosed Checked 20 August 2026 Vendor’s own pricing page
Conductor does not publish figures for this product. Pricing is quote-only, so any number quoted elsewhere is somebody’s guess.
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|

| Growth | Not publicly disclosed |

| Enterprise | Not publicly disclosed | The only tier with custom element extraction and alerting. Conductor describes its model as usage-based, aligning price to value received.

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Allowances published for every tier, so plans can be sized without a sales call
- Continuous monitoring at up to 500,000 pages
- AEO and SEO in one platform and one workflow
- API and developer access on every tier
- A free trial is offered, unusual for enterprise SEO
Limitations
- No prices published at any tier
- AI search credits do not increase from Essentials to Growth
- Writing assistant allowances are small — 60 to 180 drafts a year
- Custom element extraction requires Enterprise
- Keyword allowance on Essentials is only 500
Who it is for, and who should skip it
Worth it if
- Enterprises wanting one platform for search and AI surfaces
- Large sites needing continuous monitoring at scale
- Teams who want to size a plan before engaging sales
Skip it if
- You need a price before a conversation
- AI search coverage is your main need and 2,500 credits a year is not enough
- You are mid-market — the allowances and the tier imply enterprise budgets
Alternatives to Conductor
Each one answers when it is the better choice, which is the only thing a list of competitors is useful for.
- seoClarity Choose it when you want an enterprise platform that publishes its floor prices.
- BrightEdge Choose it when you want the longest-running domain-level ranking dataset and automated optimisation.
- Semrush Choose it when you want comparable breadth at a published, self-serve price.
- Lumar Choose it when enterprise crawling and accessibility are the actual requirement.

What changed
- 20 August 2026 — Carries pricingNotPublished with the per-tier allowances recorded in full. The allowances are the part a buyer can actually use, and publishing them without a price is a deliberate vendor choice worth representing accurately rather than summarising as "contact sales".
Questions
How much does Conductor cost?
The vendor does not publish it. All three plans route to a demo request and the model is described as usage-based. What it does publish is the allowances per tier, which lets you work out which plan fits before the conversation.
What is the catch in the plan comparison?
AI Search Credits are 2,500 a year on both Essentials and Growth — the only allowance that does not increase when you upgrade. Every other limit roughly multiplies, so if AI search is your reason for buying, that is the number to negotiate rather than the tier.
Is Conductor an SEO tool or an AEO tool?
It is sold as both in one suite, which is the standard enterprise position now. The practical question is whether the AI-side allowances match your ambition — the SEO-side numbers scale generously across tiers and the AI credits do not.
