Four Ways I Work

Every one of them starts with the same two-week blueprint, because scoping a retainer before anyone has looked at the data is how both sides end up disappointed.

Boundaries

What I Don’t Do

A consultant who claims every capability is a consultant whose claims cannot be checked. These are the six things I turn down, and each one is a position taken publicly elsewhere on this site.

Bought links, PBNs or anchor schemes

Authority here means becoming a source that gets referenced. Every property in the portfolio earned its referring domains without an outreach budget or a paid link.

Guaranteed rankings or guaranteed timelines

Technical and on-page wins commonly show in 30 to 60 days because they act on demand that already exists. Anything beyond that is a forecast, and it is presented as one.

Content at volume before the commercial layer exists

Spending on 40 blog posts before the pages that convert them exist is the most common early-stage mistake I undo. I will not be the person who creates it.

Full-service delivery with a team

If the work genuinely needs writers, developers and a project layer, that runs through my agency, Maxinium, and I say so rather than presenting a team as one person.

Reporting that stops at traffic

Sessions are a diagnostic. If the CRM cannot be joined up, that limitation is stated in the readout instead of being papered over with a rankings chart.

Categories with no measurable demand

If the diagnosis says search cannot move your numbers, you get told that and pointed somewhere more useful. Saying no to the wrong fit is what makes the right fit worth taking.

Scope

What the work covers

The same six stages as the Profitable SaaS SEO method, applied to your product in the order the data justifies rather than in the order a package template lists them.

Fit comes first

  • Real, measurable search demand in your category
  • A product that already converts some of its traffic
  • Capacity to ship content and technical fixes
  • A six-month horizon, not a six-week one
  • A named decision-maker I can work with directly
01

SaaS SEO Strategy & Roadmapping

A data-backed SaaS SEO strategy aligned to your ICP, product and revenue targets, sequenced quarter by quarter.

02

Keyword Research & Topical Authority

I build connected topic clusters rather than isolated keyword pages, because they produce clearer information architecture, stronger internal relationships and deeper subject coverage than a list of pages that never reference each other.

03

SaaS Content & Commercial Pages

The pages that actually convert software buyers: comparisons, alternatives, integrations, use cases and pricing.

04

Technical SEO for SaaS

Technical SEO for SaaS at scale, covering app subdomains, documentation, JavaScript rendering, migrations and Core Web Vitals.

05

Authority Building & Digital PR

Editorial links, directory placements and brand mentions that move rankings and feed the sources AI engines cite.

06

Programmatic SEO & Analytics

Template-driven pages at volume, plus the reporting layer that ties keywords to signups, MRR and AI share-of-voice.

Check the method first

Every Claim Here Has an Export Behind It

Client work under NDA cannot clear that bar, so the published evidence is from properties I own — where you can re-check the structural figures yourself before deciding whether the judgement is worth hiring. Client results are shared directly, with permission, on request.

What Is SaaS SEO Actually Worth to You?

Move the sliders. This models organic pipeline the way I report it: sessions to signups to ARR, not impressions.

Incremental ARR from organic at month 12

$25,027

Added monthly organic sessions +4,800
Added trials or signups per month +120
Added paying customers per month +26
Added MRR at month 12 $2,086

Directional model, not a forecast. It assumes the traffic lift is reached at month 12 and holds, and it ignores churn, expansion revenue and sales-assisted deals. I build the real model against your Google Search Console, GA4 and CRM data during the blueprint sprint.

Frequently asked

Before You Get in Touch

What does a SaaS SEO consultant actually do?

Owns the judgement calls, not the ticket queue: which clusters are worth building, which pages sit closest to a signup, what to fix first and what to stop doing. In practice that is the audit, the roadmap, the briefs and the QA — with your existing team doing the execution they are already good at.

How do engagements start?

Always with a fixed-fee two-week blueprint sprint. You see the scope, the opportunity and the projected return before committing to anything ongoing, and you keep the output either way.

How much does SaaS SEO consulting cost?

Specialist SaaS SEO engagements generally run from around $3,000 per month for early-stage products up to $15,000+ per month for programmes including content production and digital PR. The blueprint sprint is quoted as a fixed fee against scope before anything starts.

How do I choose a SaaS SEO consultant?

Ask three questions. Can they show organic-to-signup numbers rather than traffic charts? Do they run and rank software properties themselves? And will the person who audits your site be the person doing the work? Every claim on this site links to the export behind it, which is the standard worth holding any candidate to.

What if search cannot move my numbers?

Then you will be told that on the first call, and pointed somewhere more useful. The roster is deliberately small, so taking on work that will not produce costs the attention the right fit deserves.

Do you do the work, or does someone junior?

I do. There is no account layer between us. Larger programmes that genuinely need writers, developers and a project layer run through my agency, Maxinium, and I say so rather than presenting a team as one person.

Can you work with our existing marketing stack and in-house team?

Yes. I plug into your CMS, analytics, CRM and project tooling. If you already have writers and developers, I can operate purely as the strategy, briefing and QA layer — usually the cheapest way to get senior SaaS SEO judgement into an existing team.

Do you work with early-stage SaaS startups?

Yes. Pre-PMF and seed-stage products get a focused foundation sprint covering positioning, site architecture and a small cluster of high-intent pages, before any content volume. Spending on 40 blog posts before the commercial layer exists is the most common early-stage mistake I undo.
