What Outreach tools do
This category overlaps heavily with link building, and it is worth being clear about why both exist rather than pretending the line is sharp. Link building describes the whole job, strategy included: deciding what is worth a link, what to offer, and which sites matter. Outreach is the machinery underneath it — list building, contact discovery, sending, sequencing, and the record of who said what. Most products here do both, which is why the same tools appear in both categories. What differs is where a tool concentrates: some are relationship systems that happen to send email, some are sending platforms that happen to store contacts, and some do neither but enrich a list so you know who is worth contacting at all. The failure mode is the same across all of them, though, and it is not the copy. Outreach dies from administrative collapse — duplicate contacts, missed follow-ups when most replies come from the follow-up, and a burned sending domain from mailing unverified addresses.
