Analytics & Attribution for SEO tools

Analytics and attribution tools for SEO connect search visibility to what the business actually counts — trials, signups, pipeline and revenue — rather than reporting sessions and stopping there.

What SEO analytics and attribution tools do

They sit at the join between three datasets that do not naturally agree: first-party search data from the engine, on-site behaviour from analytics, and outcomes from the CRM. Making them agree is most of the work, and the reason it matters is that an SEO programme reported in sessions cannot be defended in a budget conversation. The honest constraint across the whole category is that no tool resolves attribution completely; what a good one does is make the model visible so you know which claims it can carry.

The sub-types inside this category

  • First-party search reporting Search Console and its equivalents. Recorded rather than modelled, with sampling and a retention window.
  • Behavioural analytics What happened after the click. Free at the entry level, and increasingly incomplete as privacy controls tighten.
  • AI referral and crawler analytics Traffic and fetches from assistants, which conventional analytics either misattributes or misses.
  • Warehouse and BI joins Search data exported into BigQuery or similar and joined to CRM records. The only route to unsampled analysis at scale.

Entry price is the lowest published figure on a plan you could buy on its own — add-ons and extra seats are excluded, and a tool whose vendor publishes no figure sits under “price not published” rather than being guessed at.
