Content Optimization tools
Content optimization tools score a draft against the pages already ranking for its target query and report what the draft is missing — coverage, entities, structure and depth — before it is published.
What Content Optimization tools do
They pull the current top results, extract the terms and subtopics those pages share, and grade a draft against that model. The useful output is the gap list, not the score: the questions competitors answer that you do not, the entities you never name, the sections every ranking page carries. The failure mode is treating the score as the goal, which produces keyword-stuffed prose that reads as machine-written.
