Technical SEO tools

Technical SEO tools diagnose whether a search engine can reach, render, understand and index a site at all — the constraints that cap everything content and links can achieve.

What Technical SEO tools do

This is the diagnostic layer, and it draws on four sources that answer different questions: a crawl tells you what is reachable, rendering tells you what a bot receives after JavaScript runs, server logs tell you what crawlers actually requested, and first-party index data tells you what the engine did with it. No single tool covers all four well. The most common mistake in the category is treating a crawl as the whole picture — a crawlable page is not an indexed page, and only the engine can tell you which it is.

The sub-types inside this category

  • Crawlers and auditors Establish what exists and what is broken. The base dataset for everything else.
  • Rendering and validation tools Show what a bot receives after execution, and whether markup and mobile behaviour hold up.
  • Log analysers The only source of truth on what crawlers requested, and how often, rather than what they could have.
  • First-party consoles Indexation status and stated exclusion reasons, straight from the engine.

Built for

Entry price is the lowest published figure on a plan you could buy on its own — add-ons and extra seats are excluded, and a tool whose vendor publishes no figure sits under “price not published” rather than being guessed at.
